Tobacco Free Florida in partnership with the University of Florida will unveil 25,000 boxes of the 2009 Limited Edition National Championship Florida Gators Frosted Flakes cereal. This special edition cereal contains information on Tobacco Free Florida and encourages fans to be free from tobacco.

The Florida Dairy Farmers and Tobacco Free Florida partnered with Gator Sports Marketing to create this limited edition cereal that is now available at Gatorzone.com and participating grocery stores throughout the state, including Winn Dixie, Albertsons and Sweetbay. Sales for this cereal will be offered while supplies last.

Tobacco Free Florida is the exclusive sponsor of this limited time cereal, costing only $2.99 a box, that will be available beginning in late October at participating grocery stores throughout the state, including Publix, Winn Dixie, Albertsons and Sweetbay. TALLAHASSEE, Fla.—The Florida Department of Health (DOH) and the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) will announce the launch the of the “2009 Voluntary Smoke-Free Central Campus Initiative” with a joint press conference on September 30. As a result, the DOH and AHCA central campus locations in Tallahassee will be voluntary smoke-free workplaces to help employees quit and to reduce the hazards of second-hand smoke.

Tallahassee, FL – Tobacco Free Florida recently announced Morgan Bull of Tallahassee, as the winner of the Tobacco Free Speech Video Contest. As a member of the Montford Middle School SWAT (Students Working Against Tobacco) program, Bull turned to her fellow students for help on this video.

In the video, eleven members of SWAT declare why they choose to be tobacco free. Their rationale ranges from avoidance of second-hand smoke and death to more personal reasons like a grandfather who is now suffering from emphysema and aspirations to become a doctor.
